EXEC. ASSISTANT TO THE TREASURER/CFO

Anita H. Waters serves as the Executive Assistant to the Treasurer/CFO in the AME Finance Department.  She joined the Office of the Treasurer in 2016. She coordinates the facility operations of the Washington, DC Office, providing comprehensive support to the Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Team, and the Connectional Church. Anita obtained a B.S. degree from National-Louis University, Wheaton, Illinois in Management and brings to the team over 30 years of administrative experience in both the public and private sector.

She is an active and dedicated member of the Pilgrim African Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington, DC and attributes her success to her faith. Her commitment to civic and community service is demonstrated as a Life Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and a member of the Washington DC Section of the National Council of Negro Women. She serves as the 3rd Vice Chair of the Celeste Duckett Area Women’s Missionary Society in the 2nd Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and the Young People and Children’s Division (YPD) Director at her church.
